Machine Tending
Flexi 150 — machine tending without jaw changes
A Flexi 150 loads and unloads parts of different diameters on a robotic cell — no jaw changes between part families.

In this demonstration, a three-jaw Servo-Flex Flexi 150 tends a cell running three different part diameters in sequence. With a conventional gripper each diameter would require a jaw change and re-teaching. Here, the Flexi 150 self-centers on each part and grips from 6 to 100 millimetres with a single configuration. When the cell pauses, the part remains held — the clamp is mechanically locked and needs no power to keep gripping. Across the run there are zero manual interventions and zero changeovers.
CNC Loading
CNC loading — self-centering on a lathe chuck
Loading cylindrical raw stock and unloading finished parts into a CNC lathe with one self-centering gripper.

Here a Servo-Flex Flexi 150 loads cylindrical stock into a CNC lathe chuck and unloads the finished part. The three self-centering jaws place each part on the robot center line, so the part seats accurately in the chuck without manual adjustment. Because the gripper covers the full diameter range with one configuration, raw and finished parts of different sizes are handled by the same tool — supporting unattended, lights-out operation.
Cobots
Cobots — switching part families instantly
One cobot cell, several products, zero re-tooling: switching batches with Servo-Flex.
Read transcript
This collaborative cell switches between three product families during the same shift. Because Servo-Flex grips the full diameter range with one configuration, changing products is a program selection, not a mechanical re-tool. There is no jaw swap, no re-teach and no downtime between batches, which lets the line run high-mix, low-volume work profitably on a cobot.
Payload Optimization
Payload optimization — recovering cobot payload
Why a 2 kg gripper matters: the Flexi 100 frees payload on a cobot so it can handle a heavier part.

Cobots have limited payload, and the gripper eats into it. In this example a cobot rated for ten kilograms is fitted first with a six kilogram gripper, leaving only four kilograms for the part. We then fit the two kilogram Servo-Flex Flexi 100. Usable payload rises from four to eight kilograms — the cobot can now lift twice the part weight with the same arm, while still gripping six to one hundred and twenty millimetres at up to five kilonewtons per jaw.
Power Loss Safety
Power loss safety — the part never drops
We cut the power mid-cycle to show the mechanical hold keeps the part gripped.

Safety test: a Servo-Flex gripper is holding a part at height. We cut all power to the cell. With a pneumatic or motor-held gripper, loss of pressure or current can release the part. The Servo-Flex clamp is mechanically self-locking, so the part stays firmly gripped with no power at all. This is what makes the gripper safe for unattended and collaborative operation.
